| Many
of the preserved diesel and electric locomotives today have been
delightfully taken back further in time to their 1960's guises wearing
the liveries they originally were designed for. This also gives the
chance for the younger generation to appreciate the machines role in
history.....and a chance for the railway centres to re-create a 1960's
atmosphere along with their steam locomotives. This section see's the
rail blue machines (and some that didn't make the rail blue years!) taken back in time, to an era when 'gay' meant
happy, 'grass' was something you cut on a Sunday afternoon, and 'going
all the way' was what you did when you travelled on an omlibus to the
terminus!
