03 079 enjoys a layover with Class 08 No. 08 831 at Salisbury on the 22nd October 1983. The Class 03 continued its wanderings southwards in April of the following year when it replaced the aging 05 001 as the Ryde (Isle Of Wight) CCE shunter.
