In 1985 08 592 was one of three Class 08's converted for use on the Burry Port & Gwendraeth line; renumbered 08 993 and named Ashburnham. The line included several low bridges and the locomotive cab was cut down several inches resulting in it becoming flush with the units main roof. Pictured here at Landore, the modification is self evident when compared with the trailing MKI coach. 16th August 1986.
