Later examples of the Class 20 saw the headcode discs replaced by the standard four character reporting codes. Unfortunately the limited internal cab space in the 20's resulted in a rather ugly box attached to the cab end. The two dot blind added after headcodes were abandoned altogether, made this addition even more prominent. 20 165 is seen at Toton, December 1980.
