The famous clock 'tower' reveals the location as Bristol Bath Road depot for D6342 on the 19th October 1968. The occasion was the annual open day. The locomotive was, in fact, part of the class's first year of withdrawal and must have been one of the first machines to make its journey to the scrapyard in rail blue livery.
