A far from pristine D6343 at Laira, 8th August 1971. The locomotive was only two months prior to withdrawal at this date and as was usual for machines at this time only essential maintenance was provided. The stains appear to be caused by water overflowing from the train heating reservoir or cooler group re-fill.
