25 056 stands, minus bogies, in 8 Shop at Derby Locomotive Works, 7th October 1979. All of the Class 25's with this design of cab originally had end gangway doors latterly either welded up or plated over. 25 056 was to last a little less than three more years before being withdrawn in August 1982.
