A Class 25 not as nature intended! 25 174 at Derby Locomotive Works, 2nd May 1978. Not surprisingly the locomotive was deemed scrap and cut up two months later. 25 174 was paired up with 25 030 at Aylesbury in August 1976 when runaway wagons collided with the two machines. 25 030 faired quite a bit better than 25 174 but both locomotives were declared too unfit to be repaired.
