37 180 became the first Class 37 to be named - Sir Dyfed County of Dyfed in May 1981, seen here at Old Oak Common, 20th September, 1981. During the introduction of these locomotives in the early 1960's, three of the machines (D6703, D6704 & D6707)  were to be given regimental names, but for some unknown reason the plates were never applied.
