The end of 45 135 3rd  Caribinier's BR career. The locomotive stands at Derby Carriage & Wagon works two months after withdrawal in May 1987. The original nameplates have been removed, as with many on the aging class at this time, and a painted replica has been applied to the side of the machine. 45 135 later went on to become a preserved example of the class and can be viewed today at the East Lancs Railway.
