Yet another liberation from Rail Blue livery in the late 1970's was 45 121 which, as with 44 008, gained white waist and roof stripes. 121 was originally equipped with split headcode boxes (see here) but received a nose-end modification during a refurbishment at the Brush works in Loughborough during the 1960's. The locomotive is pictured at Derby Locomotive Works in May 1978.
