46 021 in the arrival sidings at Derby Locomotive Works, 10th October 1978. Initially withdrawn in December 1980, the locomotive was one of a handful of the class reinstated for further use. It returned to traffic in November 1981, and remained in traffic until January 1983, where it was finally switched off allocated to Gateshead. It finally met its end at BREL Swindon in June 1985.
