
Collision damaged 1714 is towed
away for repair through Salisbury by green liveried 1710, 12th January 1974. The
blue class 47 carries the then normal practice of setting the headcodes to
'0000' after the abolition of the train reporting system. Note that still in
1974 Salisbury station remains carrying a Southern Region green nameboard.
