An unidentified member of the class speeds north at Duffield near Derby on the 6th October 1979. At the top of the photo the up line has been slewed and connected to a section of experimental concrete paved track which ran for about a mile, the old formation can be seen left in place adjacent to it. Today, the line has reverted to its former course but the old concrete paving can still be viewed..... through rapidly encroaching undergrowth and trees.
