D1725 passes Upton Lovell level crossing with an unfitted freight on the 5th June 1969. The Class 47 wears the original rail blue livery for the class; cabside numbers and large (2' 6") bodyside emblems. The machine today is one of the many preserved examples, now numbered 47 768 and based at the Vale of Glamorgan Railway.
