55 002 The Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry was selected by the National Railway Museum for the National Collection prior to its withdrawal. Returned to its former two tone green livery, the locomotive headed enthusiasts specials until it was retired to York. Seen here at Crewe Works, 6th June 1981. The locomotive remains active today.
