56 070 at BREL Crewe, 6th June, 1981. From 56 056 a revised front end layout was adopted, mainly to ease the production system. The main difference to be seen here is the modified horn grill. Not so evident is the removal of the edge of the bufferbeam which led to placing the lamp irons and footstep directly onto the locomotives front.
