A rare photo of the only Class 73 to be withdrawn without being TOPS renumbered. The remains of E6027 stands dumped at Eastleigh on the 28th August 1972. The locomotive was involved in an incident at Horsham on the 8th January 1972 in which it and its train passed a signal at danger and collided with the 12.02 Victoria - Portsmouth standing in the station. Fortunately, no one lost their lives.
