A withdrawn 74 010 ends its days at Doncaster in 1979. The locomotive spent a short time dumped at Derby pending possible use by the RCD (see here), a use that was never fulfilled. Of note in this photo is departmental Class 24 locomotive RDB968007 which, today, as original D5061 can be seen preserved at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
