End of the line. Two members of the class, 83 013 & 83 008 are seen dumped at Longsight depot nine months after withdrawal on the 1st January 1984. Both locomotives were eventually shipped to Vic Berry's scrapyard and were reduced to scrap in October and November of the following year.
