From BR publicity material from the early 1970's comes this shot of an unidentified, pre-TOPS numbered, Class 86 complete with a full rake of MkI's somewhere on the WCML. The image is advertising the 'new' service between London Euston and the north. The hauled stock seems to be of varying types suggesting this could be a test train on the newly electrified route.
