Still in original green livery but with the application of full yellow front ends, Class 31 No. 5645 maneuvers out of Kings Cross on the 23rd July 1970.  5645 went on to firstly become 31 220, and a conversion to an ETH locomotive saw renumbering to 31 441. Further renumbering saw it as 31 541. The machine was finally withdrawn from service in March 1996.
