One of the rarely photographed NBL Class 29 locomotives No. 6130 pictured awaiting departure from Dundee on the 16th April 1969. These troublesome machines were originally fitted with NBL/MAN engines and after serious early faults, 20 of the class were selected for refurbishment which included a Paxman Ventura power unit. Modified examples were instantly recognisable by the installation of standard four-character headcode panels in the nose ends.
