40 122 (D200) Today

40 122 entered preservation on the 16th April 1988 after running an enthusiasts special from London to York via Norwich, thus recreating possibly its very first train with British Railways way back in 1958. The locomotive is owned by the National Railway Museum and is pictured here on a visit to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway on the 14th May 2005 carrying its pre-Rail Blue D200 number and Brunswick Green livery.
