73 003 has now been returned to its original livery and number, E6003, and at the time of writing resides on the Great Central Railway where the locomotive is pictured, 17th September 2005.

The locomotive also now supports the name Sir Herbert Walker, commemorating the General Manager of the Southern Railway in the early twentieth century.
