The former 47 077, 47 840 'North Star' stands stabled at Preston on Thunderbird duties in its final years of BR/Network Rail service, pictured on the 16th October 2002. Now preserved, the locomotive has reverted to its former original green livery and regained its former number D1661. It can be viewed at the West Somerset Railway.
