So many of the preservationists
today number their locomotives as TOPS examples so its pleasing to see here a
Class 20 in rail blue livery but with its pre-TOPS/ pre-'D' identity. 8110, the latter
day 20 110, still retaining its cabside recess that used to house the Scottish
Region tablet catching apparatus, is pictured here at Buckfastleigh at the
South Devon Railway
on the 7th November 2009. Also of note on the machine is the non-'wrapped round'
yellow bonnet end, believed to have only been applied to a handful of the class
including 8110.
