Originally Class AL4, later to become Class 84, ac electric locomotive No. 84 001 was saved from the scrapmen and secured by the National Railway Museum. The locomotive is pictured in rail blue livery, but interestingly without its BR double arrow symbols. Doncaster Works, 26th July 2003.
