One of the few original 'Brush 4's' still in service on the UK rail network today, retro green liveried No. D1916 ticks over in the south bays at Crewe station whilst on Thunderbird duties on the 27th October 2009. The only clue to its modern day identity can be seen below the cab handrail; 47 812. To the left of this the small plaque reads 47812 Repainted to commemorate its 40th anniversary of main line service with British Railways and now with Riviera Trains Limited. Repainted at Old Oak Common November 2005 by A. Middleton.
