Top: Class 50 No. 50 001 Dreadnought draws to a halt at Exeter St. Davids with a southbound service on the 17th August 1978. Below, and twenty-seven years later the station presents a forlorn sight. The most noticeable difference is the huge extension built in front of the first floor ornate windows. Gone is the centre road, and with the long since disappearance of station BRUTES the platform has become somewhat less cluttered.
