Class 45/0, 45 038 with a southbound express at Duffield, 6th October 1979.

The same location nearly 24 years later sees the most noticeable change being the removal of the line on the left, which served the Wirksworth branch and platform 1 of Duffield Station. The footpath to the right of the locomotive is now a metalled road leading to Duffield football and cricket grounds. The tall fencing has only recently been added (the original can be seen in the top photo), and now obliterates what used to be spectacular lineside views.
