Two Class 20's headed by 20 087 pass north through Derby, 20th September 1981.

The view today is one of the few that reveals what small part of Derby Locomotive Works is left. The removal of the buildings behind the perimeter fence of the works brings into view the old 9 and 7 shops. In the distance can be seen the former research centre, visible in the top photograph.
